Dr. Dow-Edwards obtained her PhD from New York University, a Masters from NYU and a BS from Bowling Green State University. She completed her post-doctoral training at the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute on Aging, Institutes within the National Institutes of Health. Following her post-doctoral training, she joined State University of New York, Downstate Health Sciences University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery. Thereafter, with tenure, she joined the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology and rose to the full Professor Rank in 2000. She has a rich experience in research, teaching and service detailed on each tab.
